The Yirgacheffe area is the highest of all coffee regions in Ethiopia, where they still harvest coffee. Some altitudes can be found over 4000m. Coffee farming here brings cherries even from 2600masl. The higher the coffee plant is found, the smaller the coffee bean will be in the cherry. but also with the most flavor content in the bean. Even though it can be expensive to produce here. Yirgacheffe has always been sold at a premium in the Ethiopian coffee Exchange.
